Heather Calow DipABRSM, BA(Hons)

Oboe – Piano – Recorder – Music Theory – Exam accompaniment.

Heather has been teaching and performing for over 15 years across Leicestershire and

beyond.

A grade 8 oboist and pianist, has a degree in Music from Bath Spa University,

and an Instrumental Teaching Diploma from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools

of Music.

Keen to help pupils achieve their best, Heather specialises in music exam preparation,

aural training and exam accompaniment, for both ABRSM and Trinity board exams, and

has a high pass rate.

Heather is also passionate about music theory and can teach both individuals and

groups up to grade 6 level. She aims to include basic theory skills in every lesson.

As an oboist, she regularly performs in ensembles around Leicestershire, such as The

Bardi Symphony Orchestra, The Bardi Wind Orchestra, The Clarendon Park Orchestra,

Musicamici, The Rutland Sinfonia and the Knighton Chamber Orchestra.

Most of all Heather aims to spread the joy of making music to everyone!

Prices: £20 per 30 mins, £40 per hour.
